Environment Information
Rainbow Serpent Festival has a strong ongoing commitment to addressing the environmental impacts from the event. Of primary concern is:
- the level of resources used and waste generated;
- greenhouse gas emissions; and
- the impact of the festival on the local ecology and community.
Not only are we dedicated to reducing the immediate impacts of the festival, but we believe such events are an ideal opportunity to showcase positive alternatives and solutions. It is also a perfect platform for the education and spreading of environmentally responsible ideas, practices and technologies to the wider community.
Our goal is to provide a safe, healthy and enjoyable environment for people to come together in collective creative expression within a community of dance, love and partying!
We aim to become a leader amongst cultural events in environmental matters and will be doing all we can to realise this vision. We welcome and encourage your input or ideas, which can be posted in the environment section of the *forum*
