Ceremonies and Energy Work
In the heart of Australia a serpent is born, a myth and a legend of ancient creation births a new dreaming. An ancient rememberence awakening for all. Immersed cultures walk hand in hand, heart to heart, Rainbow children dance and celebrate.
We invite you to participate in all ceremony and energy activities at Rainbow Serpent this year including:
- Rainbow Opening Blessing at the chill space Friday afternoon
- Serpent Parade, begins as workshop on Saturday afternoon and heads to Main Stage for the opening ceremony. (All ages welcome, add your colour and art.
- Dreamtime Opening Ceremony at the main stage at dusk on Saturday
The opening ceremony will be a welcome to country by the local custodians, the Wutherwerung, Djadjawurung & Djaberwurung people the caretakers of the land. The smoking and fire ceremony welcomes us to the land honouring the ancestors who walked before us. This ceremony creates a harmonious relationship with the local people, the ancestors and the spirits of the land. The smoke cleansing the people and continuing across the land, full of prayers. Opening in honour and respect to all, find your place in the interconnected tribe.
