Capoeira is a unique combination of martial arts, acrobatics, music, dance, philosophy, culture, performance and fun, which originated from the combination of African, Native Brazilian and Portuguese slaves in Brazil. 
Biography: Chan Griffin      
Chan Griffin, head of Soul Capoeira in Adelaide, is hosting workshops with practitioners and facilitators from all over the world. This is a unique opportunity to practice with some of the best martial artists globally and really gain an understanding of an incredible martial arts practice.

Tantric Yoga and Tai Chi with Amneon
Tantric Yoga encompasses breathing techniques, asanas (postures) energy work utilising the chakras, and a bit of chanting and philosophy. This Yoga class is designed to enhance one's conscious awareness into a calm state of peace, of body and mind, so that the yoga practitioner is in the ultimate state of being to enjoy Rainbow Serpent festival.  Om Shanti
Tai Chi is a sequence of gentle movements based on Chinese martial arts, that helps procure a good chi flow throughout one's body and mind. It is a simple moving meditation but also a good workout of the joints, muscles, and co-ordination skills. Great for smoothing out anomalies in the body and mind, so that it is ready for the true holy state of the body’s expression, DANCE!
Bio
 Amneon (Gavin McPhee) has been practicing and teaching Tantric Yoga for 14 and has been teaching at Rainbow Serpent Festival since the festival began. Amneon is fully trained in Tantric Yoga, Yang style Tai Chi and Swimming Dragon Tai Yi. He normally teaches from Sherbrook forest, east of Melbourne where a School of mysticism is being set up for people to come and learn Tantra and Qabalah.

Fun Qi Gong- Internal Energy Play Presented by Paul Damais
Two forms of Simple movements that anybody can do safely.
Form 1 - 5 Element Qi Gong
Connect with Heaven (gravity) and Earth (levity) energy. Cleanse and nourish the body and organs with movements that focus the 5 elemental energies:
Metal (lungs), Water (kidneys), Wood (liver), Fire (heart) and Earth (spleen)
Form 2 - Ziran Qigong Level 1
Designed by Master Liu Deming - 5th Generation Lineage Holder of Ziran Men (Nature Style Kung Fu) it opens and stretches the body to help recognise and release tension. Both these Forms focus on building chi (internal energy) so that the participants can feel it flowing.

Biography:
Paul Dumais has trained in Martial Arts for 20 years and trained with Master Liu Deming for 5 years.
Has taught classes in Byron Bay and Cape Tribulation and run workshops successfully at Exodus Festival twice. Performed and taught at the Australian Qi Festival in Bangalow 2008.Gold Medal winner in Sun Style Tai Chi at the 2001 Australian Tai Chi and Wu Shu Championships. 

 
Underbelly Belly dance                   Presented by Andrea Makris
Belly dance is a fun and creative dance form involving isolations of various parts of the body especially highlighting the pelvis and hips. It dates thousands of years and there are an infinite number of styles to explore, offering unlimited potential for expression and enjoyment by people from all walks of life. One of the principal dancers from Underbelly will run a Belly dance class in basic technique with fun sequences for people with any level of dance experience to enjoy.

Bio:
Andrea is the co-founder of Underbelly and is trained in ancient Middle Eastern dance forms, focusing on belly dancing. This traverses the many variations including Greek dance, Turkish and Persian styles. She can once again present a Belly dance workshop during her stay at the festival, following her very successful workshop in 2008.
