RSF2020 Bushfire Update
Thank you everyone for your patience, messages of support and generous offers to help. Once again, we are humbled by the enormous show of love, both from our Rainbow and local Pyrenees communities.
We’ve been busy with key stakeholders assessing the site. It’s unfortunately been slower than we would have liked given the holiday season and continued extreme weather.
As well as damage to trees, the greatest impact to the site has been to some of our facilities, including our recycling centre and artworks. The vast majority of our infrastructure, including The Village and main operating compounds, have been unaffected.
Our team is confident of being able to produce a safe and spectacular RSF2020. It is likely there will need to be some adjustments to the layout and format but we are positive all featured artists will perform and it will no doubt be an unforgettable year.
A formal meeting with the Pyrenees council and relevant authorities will take place as soon as possible in the new year, where we hope our revised plans will be examined and approved.
We appreciate your patience and understanding, as we all know there are still many high-risk areas around the country and our thoughts are with those affected and the firefighters still battling to keep everyone safe.
More information will be released as soon as possible, in the meantime, we ask for your ongoing patience and support while we work through details.
Have a safe and enjoyable New Year.
Frank, Felix and the Rainbow Serpent Team
