Wild Women Dance
WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
A women's circle, a community, a dance, and a technique. We offer a space where women can come and look at their trauma, and work on re-coding the brain and body in a fast, powerful, and dynamic way.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Together we learn more about who we are, explore our individual emotional states, and look at our inner patterns through the power of dance.
WHY IS THIS DIFFERENT?
Wild Women is a movement modality, and overlays with a psychology foundation based on Jungian archetypes. This means you will have an embodied experience in class. Women are encouraged to follow their own inner knowing, within a facilitated class designed to help you explore yourself deeper. It's also just fun! We allow everyone to journey in their own freedom, that means vulnerabilities and social anxieties are cared for. You have the power to lead your own experiences.
SAY YES TO YOURSELF
This series has helped hundreds of sisters become more confident. It's an opportunity to discover our gentleness, the wildness, the surrender, the chaos, and the sensuality through dance.
WHAT DO WE DO?
It's a hard practise to describe.Come learn how to blend ecstatic dance and pranayama. Use somatics (movement) as a way to discover body image issues, and learn how to skill up, to the next level of awesome. Or simply let go, let the music take you, and journey into your own wildness. The class is facilitated, and is a mini spiritual journey. Don't believe us? Come and try it out!
WHAT THEMES DO WE EXPLORE?
Most of us haven't been taught about boundaries. We can find it hard to say no. Or we get so swept up in caring for everyone else, that we forget self care. So if you love to move it, shake it, and dance (but don't like being told what to do!) than this is the place for you. We have fun, and also engage in some serious self-development in a pressure free space.
WHAT'S ALL THIS BOUNDARY STUFF?
So this practise is about learning how to create healthy boundaries. We discover how we have been conditioned to accept less than what we want. Most women have been taught to be small, not take up space, and avoid saying yes to ourselves. Together we learn what freedom can really feel like, without the competition in the sisterhood. That's why this practise is so popular; we turn up every month and drop into a regular practise.
WHAT IF I CAN'T DANCE?
Suitable for all ALL LEVELS of experience. This is not a dance class of learning steps. Wild Women really helps unlock the dancer inside us all. It might sound cheesy, but before we became concerned about how we look and appear, most of us naturally knew how to move in ways that felt really good. Wild Women helps us get back to that natural state of not giving a fuck, in a healthy and loving way. This class gently encourages each woman to discover their inner awesome.
LOOKING FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE?
We work with the wild goddesses of Kali MA, Lilith, and Black Tara. Learn more about how to access these potent powers, and learn more about how to invoke on the dance floor. If you've been searching for a space to combine devotional dance, safe shamanic practises, and unlock your fierce, loving bitch ... then Wild Women was created for you! But don't freak out; if you're new to this practice just show up! Only advanced sisters go deeper into the work, and most beginners feel completely at ease working at their own pace.
WHO ARE WILD WOMEN?
The wild women has existed inside our psyche for thousands of years. Despite generations of feminine repression, she (we) yearn for a way out of the collective unconscious and into our daily lives. Be welcomed into your regular practice space within a healthy sisterhood.
