Women’s and Men’s Circle and Shamanic Movement Medicine Journey - An ancient ritual of tribal connection.

Australia

Medicine women’s and men’s circle is for all ages and genders of people who wish to show up and participate at whichever capacity they are comfortable to. Their presence alone is enough. This is a space to celebrate the importance of ritual and community, whilst embodying feminine and masculine energy, sacred communication and connection.

An initiation of honour and deep reverence to both self-connection and human connection can birth within this space, supporting each person with the tools to create their own rituals in everyday life, become inspired through witnessing others share wisdom and optionally share in a meaningful way. This process gives each participant the opportunity to embody their emotional vocabulary and authentic expression.

The ritual incorporates guided meditation, individual and collective intention setting, wisdom circle sharing and a very unique, guided shamanic sound and movement journey. The movement aspect of the ritual is intended to activate the innate curiosity in all of us. As we connect to traditional music we can explore authentic movement in a sacredly contained way. We incorporate the traditional sounds from the Shipibo Tribe into our ritual, as an offering for contributors to drop into their bodies, receive the ancient words and vibration. It’s the time of non-verbal communication after the process of verbal communication, which can serve as a deeply cathartic experience. Moving our bodies will allow any thoughts and energy that’s been cultivated to be acknowledged in the body and let go of, to invite in the new, whilst giving reverence to our personal and collective experience just shared.

Together, Lahni and Carmela hold a space with intention for each person to deepen their ability to connect tribally to others.

Lahni has been working as a women’s empowerment facilitator and women’s and men’s ceremonial space holder for 5 years. Held in a workshop environment, she inspires others to access their voice, own their vulnerability and authentically connect. Drawing her inspiration from 3 years of shamanic plant medicine studies in both Australia and the Peruvian Amazon, she lives in deep reverence to plants, the land and community.

Carmela has been facilitating transformative embodiment practices for the past 5 years through Yogic and meditative offerings, as well as women’s circles. With a deep reverence for ceremony and ritual, she inspires those who journey alongside her to tap into the deeper wisdom of one’s own body. Carmela humbly carries fourth the teachings that have served her along her own journey of transformation, and offers them up in her workshop space.

“We have gathered in circles since ancient times. Our Ancestors have paved the way for us to hear our spirits call. Through us gathering with the intention to express in a devotional way, we can unlock innate potential through a supportive, sacredly contained environment, remembering what we live for".
