Psychedelics: Counter-Culture Meets Mainstream

Psychedelic psychotherapy is on the brink of becoming legal across the world, whilst the War on Drugs continues to escalate in the fight for prohibition.

Locally, the Australian Psychedelic Society (APS) is getting serious about psychedelic science and policy. The APS continues to hold events and bring the community together with chapters across Australia, showcasing a variety of topics and experts from different disciplines. We have hosted politicians, lawyers, neuroscientists, chemists, pharmacologists, mycologists, psychologists, psychiatrists and artists. We also provide a space for you to tell your own story, be heard, and create your own experiences, through our integration and breathwork Circles.

Come join us at Rainbow and hear about what is happening in the world of psychedelia. How is psychedelic research progressing in Australia? How will psychedelic therapy look in a modern society? Experts in the field discuss how the current movement towards legalisation of psychedelic therapy clashes with the capitalist world of “big-pharma”. In keeping with our ethos of providing a community space, we will also open up time for the audience to share their stories. We look forward to meeting you all!

The Australian Psychedelic Society (APS) is an organisation seeking to connect Australia’s psychedelic community to benefit, enjoy and contribute to their culture in a safe and supportive environment. The APS is part of a larger global movement with over 90 organisations worldwide! By creating a cohesive network, it is hoped that changes in drug policy, education and use will be founded upon evidence-based information, rather than fear-based propaganda.
